basic information
NAME David Andrew Trumann
AGE 25
DOB March, 31

HEIGHT 5'10"
BUILD Athletic slim
HAIR Black
EYES Brown

PHYSICAL APPEARANCE
David Trumann has his mother's bronzed complexion, the latin heritage from her side of the family definitely shining through. Aside from the basic breakdown, he has a couple of tattoos. Dave has bands on his left arm (one thicker and the other thinner--it being below the other) and a tattoo on his left side on his ribs that mixes a skateboard and strand of DNA (which is larger than in the picture). His hair ranges from quite short to letting it get a little length and body; he also varies back and forth between letting his facial hair grow in for a slight beard and keeping clean-shaving depending upon what he's doing (or working on) at any given time. His style is pretty simple. He likes hats and jeans, anything that makes it easy to just get out and go in. And even though he doesn't wear them all the time, Dave does have a pair of thick black-rimmed glasses that he breaks out when he needs to.

Dave is loyal, and this can sometimes be to a fault. When he makes friends, or gets close with a person he is the sort of guy that isn't going anywhere. He will be there for his people, and do whatever they could possibly need in order to be a good friend and to be there for the people that mean something to him. His allegiance to his friends, family, etc is always strong. He makes for a good, solid friend who will always be there for a person. Dave is, very much, a person that worries about others over himself. To some extent he is a bit of a people-pleaser, and the sort of person that wants to take care of others before himself. This, sometimes, can lead him to feeling like a burden when he needs something for himself because he is so used to being loyal and putting everything into other people.

Dave is a rock. He is that person that will always be there when someone calls for him. He is that person that has his head on straight, and he's the guy that you can put your bet on and know that he won't let you down. Dave doesn't like to do the whole chaotic thing, he likes to have a plan, he likes to know that things aren't going to suddenly shift from under him. Because he likes to have a stable life and have dependable things in his life, that is what he puts out there. As a professional, a friend, a boyfriend, and everything in between he is stable and he is dependable. This can sometimes be a fault because he's bad at admitting when he needs help, or when he doesn't feel like he can continue on the stable/dependable track he is on, and needs a break.

Dave isn't somebody that brags. He's proud of the accomplishments that he's made, but he doesn't feel the need to boast about them. In many ways Dave can be self-depreciating. He has always had more of a focus on other people, and turned that sort of attention outward, and off of himself. So, there are times when he is selfless to a fault. There are times when he just doesn't focus on what he wants as a result. He doesn't see himself as particularly important in the scheme of things.

Despite his age, past, job, and a number of other factors that might make one assume that Dave could be very immature (like some of the company he keeps) he is the exact opposite. He has a tendency to settle into the 'dad' role of his friend groups because he cares. So, he's the friend that checks in on others and tries to help them...while encouraging them to make the right decisions. He's mature. He doesn't waste his time playing around, and instead looks to the future and thinks about what he wants. Dave is very much a family-oriented person, who wants to have that sort of settled future. He very much wants to be a husband and a dad and despite his age thinks about that, and even attempts to prepare for that in the future now. He wants to have a good life, he wants to prepare, and he encourages his friends and loved-ones to do the same as him. He very much is realistic and has a good head on his shoulders. He does take life seriously, and though he knows how to have fun, he has a good balance about him. He's relatively mellow, calm, and friendly because of these things. However, because of these things he can sometimes bottle up the more negative emotions because he wants to be the 'bigger-man'. And, ultimately, there are times when he explodes.

Dave is, quite possibly, the most authentic person that you could come across. He's honest, straight-forward, and doesn't bother to put forth anything that he isn't. Now, yes, he is an actor...so he pretends to be somebody else for a living now, but outside of that he never pretends to be something that he isn't. What you see is exactly what you're going to get when it comes to Dave. He is a nice guy. He cares about his friends, family, and people in general. Because of this he can be almost too sweet and good to others at times. He always does his best to extend kindness as well. He can't help himself. Generally, there isn't an ulterior motive at all....it's just that he's being a nice guy. This can, sometimes, be misconstrued as interest in a way that he doesn't mean for it to.

NORMAL LIFE
David Trumann was born in to Maria and Thomas Trumann, a mixed-race suburban couple. He had an extremely boring, and overly normal, upbringing throughout his formative years. The family lived in the same home up until Dave was about to start high school when they moved to California, both for Dave's benefit as well as to be closer to his grandfather, who lived near the area. He'd spent summers flying out to California to visit the man throughout his childhood, and it was during these trips that his initial spark in skateboarding was lit. By the time he was about to start high school he knew that he wanted to be a professional skateboarder, and though it took a great deal of convincing on his part, his parents chose to support that dream. He started with local things and worked his way upward as best he could and paying his dues. It was the move, ultimately, that advanced Dave's career.

He dreamed of making it big like Tony Hawk and other prominent, big name, skaters. He was on his way to making a career out of it, competing and gathering more than enough attention from how he placed and the things he was doing in the medium. He was really good, and he had a surprisingly supportive family considering the fact that his mother was not the biggest fan of the sport (and was always afraid he was going to get himself hurt). It was during this period of his life that Dave met the girl that he truly believed was his soulmate, the love of his life. He had a career, he had a beautiful girlfriend, and his life was on track. One that his girlfriend Cass and his mother, in particular, wanted her to get out of. He wouldn't quit, though, because it was his passion. And so they supported him as he began to gain some fame and a following. He was well on his way to sponsorship, and to what could be a huge career and everything he ever wanted, when he took a bad fall and shattered his knee, dislocated his ankle (damaging it in the process), and banged himself up pretty damn well and effectively stalling his career and creating a major hurdle for him to get over. But he was in for a long rehab, during which he had to do other things. It was Cass that got him his first audition, and the second, and even his big break on Hunts!. And just like that he managed to make the switch from skateboarding to acting. He was happy, Cass was happy, and his parents were too. Or, at least, he thought everyone was.

Dave won the role of Wesley "Wes" Martinez on the show Hunts!, a mockumentary style program following paranormal investigators as they navigate through the real world and that of the supernatural--attempting to prove the existence of things that go bump in the night and deal with that knowledge. Wes is the wise-cracking, skeptic, know-it-all with a bad past whose former skills come into handy during the hunts he attends, to be both the voice of skepticism and the 'pull back to reality'. Dave took the role, and enjoys it, because Wes is so different form him, as a person. And it's paid off, considering he went from a reoccurring guest spot in season one, was bumped up to a series regular in season two (with much more screen time), and going into season three he became a principle character. Acting, though, was a job that he fell into out of luck and maybe that hard work that he'd gotten good at during his time as a skateboarder.

The rehab, career change, and everything took a toll on Dave and his relationship, though. Cass was more and more unhappy than she'd been before. The two, though happy on the outside, weren't doing well underneath that. Dave did everything he possibly could to try and make the relationship work, bending backward to her increasing demands that he give up anything to do with skateboarding all together, but still drawn to the sport that he was passionate about. Dave worked extremely hard to make the relationship work, and to make her happy. He even had a ring and was going to pop the question; Dave was committed, but Cass wasn't. Not in the same way that he was.

Dave had no idea about Cass' infidelity with Mox (a co-star on the show), or that it was the reason for her starting fights and acting the way that she was about the littlest of things.. As far as he knew things were fine, even if a work in progress, until they suddenly really weren't fine. They went from what felt normal squabbles to fighting all the time....over more than just the skateboarding, it was everything that became an issue...not just the skateboarding magazines or the fact that he used a skateboard to roll around set; Dave couldn't do anything right, and he took the blame on himself and did whatever he could to please her, to apologize and stop whatever it was in a given moment. Ultimately, she told him that she needed a break. He was heartbroken, but he gave her what she wanted thinking that they would work things out because they had been together for years. Barely a day after this decision, though, the incident with Warren happened. They hooked up, and Dave was finally more than hurt and worried....he was downright pissed off. And decidedly done with Cass for good, despite the fact that he loved her and knew that it was much easier said than done. Dave had thought that he and Warren were friends, along with Mox, but the discovery caused his work environment to grow tense. Dave was ever the professional, though. When he has to be around War he deals with it at work, but outside of that he's not made it a secret that he's not happy. Unfortunately for Dave this wasn't the end of the dramatics and strangeness to his life.

THE CITY
He was, somehow, transported to a place called The City. While there he fell in with old friends that happened to be here, not lightening up on Warren any. This time was actually good for Dave because despite a hand full of people being aware of his time on the show he got the chance to be normal again. He used the time to try and get over Cass, unsuccessfully for the most part, and to try and move forward. He began working at a skate shop, dated Joey (unsuccessfully), and he and Mox actually grew as friends and not just chummy cast-mates. Of course, this didn't last.

MULTIFARIOUS
Dave was uprooted again and sprung forward six months in a brand new...version of the world. Because this new version of the world was much more similar to how things had been at home, Dave and the rest of the Hunts! crew worked to put the show back together in LA and jump-started each of their careers. Because they had hit it off (at least in a friend capacity) back in The City, Dave hired Joey as his PA. He couldn't help it when she was so upset about all that she'd lost, and she was one of the few people that he'd managed to connect with that wasn't a fan or co-worker already. He helped distract her from her broken heart, at the time, and the two grew into what Dave considers best friends. He found it easy to see Joey like a sister, despite never having had one. More of his former co-workers showed up in this new...dimension, but the drama wasn't left behind because along with them came Cass. Despite the steps he had taken forward in talking to new people and trying to get himself out there and be happier with himself, and not yearn for what he felt he was robbed of, Dave still managed to take steps backward in the forward momentum that he had managed because of this.

Cass' mere presence, and the strange things that tended to happen in these alternate places took their toll. Dave found out about Mox and Cass, he got more details about the entire situation that he'd been blinded to and ignorant of before. And he was angry. Somehow, and with Joey's help in some major ways, he did his best to step forward...even with the temptation to regress and to try and fix things for Cass there now. He started to dabble in skateboarding himself again, rather than watching others and resisting the temptation because he had no reason to just not do it at all anymore. And it felt good. Dave started to settle back in, doing his best to be healthier and to move forward. Even with his best friend transitioning back into her original field of study, to fulfill her dream. During this time Dave began to consider the possibility of adopting a child, no longer limiting what he wanted in life (a family) to Cass or to needing someone else.

RETURN TO LIFE
When Joey was taken again, Dave lost his best friend and closest confidante and his ideas stalled for a bit, but was lucky enough to follow after her, though not literally. He wound up back home, in the life that he had left when he'd first been displaced and he set about making some changes to his life with the growth that he'd gone through while away. Dave took control of his career and began to make some changes for the better. He managed to add more acting credits to his resume, directed a hand full of episodes for Hunts!, and he carved out other projects and things for himself.
